Electric Motor Digital Twin
A live simulation of a motor's internal condition, making normally invisible temperatures visible while the machine is running.
Project demonstration
Turning motor data into real-time understanding.
The application replays a recorded operating profile as a simulated live data stream. Speed, torque, current, and voltage update continuously while the motor's internal temperatures are visualized in context.
Technical approach
Make invisible machine conditions easy to understand.
A 3D motor model places temperature readings at the stator tooth, stator yoke, stator winding, and rotor. Values are color-coded against configurable Watch and High thresholds, so the affected motor region changes color with the status. The deployed application also includes a machine-learning model that estimates these temperatures from the motor's electrical and thermal behavior.
